A sports commentator and former media aide to shooting stars football club of Ibadan, Mr Jubril Arowolo has thrown his weight behind appointments of local coaches for the Super Eagles.

Mr Arowolo made this known while featuring on straight talk, an interview programme on Premier 93.5 FM.

Mr Arowolo who commended the performances of the super Eagles head coach, Augustine Eguavoen at the ongoing AFCON 2021 said the employment of foreign coaches was a waste of resources.

Mr Arowolo said the head coach was capable of taking the team through to final and winning the cup.

He expressed hope that the Augustine Eguavoen tutored boys will maintain their perfect start to the tournament when they face Guinea Bissau in their final group game on Wednesday.

The former 3SC media aide appealed to government at all levels and relevant authorities to develop sports at the grassroots.

Mr Arowolo said harnessing the full potentials of football would boast the Nation’s internally generated revenue.
