Nigerian Army has assures its readiness to collaborate with all the security agencies towards achieving peace and secured atmosphere.
General Officer Commanding, GOC, 2 division Nigerian Army Ibadan , Major General Gold Chibuisi stated this during 2021 west Africa social activities, WASA, held at Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment, Ojoo, Ibadan.
Major General Chibuisi said it was a common knowledge that the Nigerian Army had in recent times strived to ensure that all forms of threats to the national security were contained through various mechanisms and synergy among Security agencies.
He noted that WASA which dated back to the period of the royal west African frontier force, affords Army the opportunity to apprance their performance in other to fodge ahead at securing the nation.
The GOC also stated that WASA also provides an environment for personnel and thier families to celebrate as it showcases the diverse ethnic and rich cultural composition of Nigeria.
Major General Chibuisi added that through these, professional Nigerian Army was ready to accomplish assigned missions within a joint environment in defence of Nigeria.
Contributing, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state, said he facilitated with 2 division, Nigerian Army, Ibadan on the occasion of the 2021 WASA celebration.
Governor Makinde who spoke through Cheif of staff, Mr Segun Ogunwuyi, assured 2 division that his administration remains committed to promote the already existing cordial military relationship to a great level for the betterment of the people of Oyo State.
The 2021 west African social activities, WASA featured cultural dance display, tug of war competitions, quiz, inter formations competitions and special awards were given to distinguish officers.
