Some traders and youths on Lebanon Street had a free day scooping diesel from drainage in the area.

Radio Nigeria witnessed the development, where youths were seen filling plastics containers with diesel.

They, however, left the scene upon citing men of the Nigerian Police Force.

Radio Nigeria gathered from a trader in the area that there were leakages from the storage of a bank when a vehicle came to discharge diesel to the bank.

An official of the bank however declined to comment on the development.

The event, however, turned sour as officials of the bank violently attacked Radio Nigeria correspondent for covering the leakages.

It took the intervention of traders in the area to douse the situation from degenerating into further crises.

Radio Nigeria observed that some of the bank officials came with buckets to also scoop diesel.
