Wife of the former governor of Oyo State, Dr Florence Ajimobi has described the rejection of women related bills by the national assembly as insensitive and do not represent the interest of women.

Dr Mrs Ajimobi made this known while featuring on straight talk, an interview programme on Premier FM 93.5 in commemoration of this year’s international women’s day.

The wife of former governor of Oyo state said women in governance and in relevant sectors will not be discouraged by the development but will re-present the bills for amendment.

While speaking on women’s participation in politics, Dr Mrs Ajimobi appealed to men to encourage their wives to vie for elective positions in the 2023 election.

Dr Mrs Ajimobi who frowned at any form domestic violence against women, appealed to the female folk going through at home to speak out and seek help.

She encouraged women to believe in themselves and should not allow their background to limit limit them from achieving greatness.
