Nigeria’s Super Eagles former midfielder, Justice Christopher is dead.

He reportedly slumped in his hotel in Jos, and Plateau State on Wednesday.

Christopher was said to have been battling high blood pressure.

He was, however, full of life and showed no sign of health challenge when he was seen in the company of his friends on Tuesday.

The remains of Christopher have been deposited at the Plateau Specialists hospital while an autopsy is expected to be carried out on his corpse.

His death is, however, yet to be confirmed by the Plateau State Police Command as of the time of filing this report.

Christopher played for several clubs, including Katsina United, Sharks F.C., Bendel Insurance, Antwerp, Belgium, Levski Sofia, Bulgaria, Trelleborgs FF, Sweden, Alania Vladikavkaz, Russia and Herfølge Boldklub, Denmark.

The midfielder announced his retirement after the end of the season 2006–07 season and he was part of the Nigerian squad that went to the 2002 World Cup in Korea/Japan.

Christopher on his return to Nigeria signed for Nasarawa United in October 2012 and has been with the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, club since then.
