With the increasing use of the social media by young people and their attachment to it ,it has become imperative for the church to see the social media as a veritable platform to reach out to people with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Some Christian leaders made the assertion in Ibadan at an International Discipleship conference held at Molete Baptist Church .

One of them who is the Continental Director of Every Home for Christ International, Dr. Cleopas Chitapa explained that the next generation should be made to understand the the teachings of Christ through the use of technology.

Dr Chitapa said using a platform which the youths were familiar with would give them better understanding of the scriptures.

In a lecture entitled,”Understanding and mending the heart of a child”, Lagos State coordinator ,children Evangelism Ministry, Augustine Edema affirmed that the family, being the first school setting a child is exposed to, had a crucial role to play in the training of children.

The regional Director of Every Home for Christ International, Reverend ,Lanre Da Silva, who spoke on using the home for Discipleship unit urged parents to disciple their children in such a way that they could positively influence the society .
The Reverend Da Silva appealed to parents, church leaders, pastors and Church workers to always exhibit virtues worthy of emulation for the children


in an address of welcome ,the convener the Apostle Peter Akanji who said it was important for the gospel to reach the next generation noted that means of reaching and training the children should be rooted and grounded in the word of God.
