Broadcast Media have been enjoined to embark on more public enlightenment on the current security challenges in the Southwest with a view to proffering lasting solutions.

Speaking with Radio Nigeria in Ibadan, the former Nigeria Ambassador to the Philippines and a veteran journalist, Chief Yemi Faroumbi said the present challenges bedevilling the country had been persistent due to idleness among Nigerian youths.

Chief Farounbi who noted that media was effective in influencing behavioural changes, emphasized the need for adequate broadcast messages that would help the individual to emulate the virtue of hard work and shun ritual killings.

Chief Farounbi who urged Nigerians to be security conscious advised government to prioritize the security of its citizens.
