The Operatives of the Western State Security Network Agency codenamed name Amotekun Corps has rescued two persons, named Bakare Ibraheem and Eric Esoha from the captives of their abductors, located along Ife-Ilesa expressway in Osun State.

The field Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps, Comrade Amitolu Shittu gave the information in Osogbo.

Comrade Shittu said the victims were attacked along the expressway by armed robbers turned Kidnappers while travelling to Ilesa from Lagos to deliver a Product.

He explained that the hoodlums stopped the vehicle around 12:15 in the early hours and ordered the driver and person sitting beside him to come down, adding that while the driver attempted to escape from scene he was macheted and stabbed.

The Amotekun field commander said the rescue operation was carried out by Ife area command of the Amotekun personnel in response to a distress call.

One of the victims, Bakare Ibraheem, while narrating his ordeal, said they were travelling from Lagos to Ilesa before the unfortunate incident happened.

He said the driver of the sienna vehicle took the armed robbers for security operatives on the road who later turned out to be criminals, ordering them out of the vehicle.

He added that he was in the forest with pains after he was macheted and stabbed by the arm robbers before the intervention of Amotekun personnel.
