The police, according to his public relations officer, Benjamin Hundeyin,  in a release said the command is equally taking cognizance of the cybercrime angle to the whole episode and would not hesitate to enlist the support of the Interpol should the need arise for a holistic and unbiased investigation.

The release also states that the Command shall be working with relevant ministries, departments, agencies and non-governmental organizations.

SP Hundeyin added that the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi has assured of due diligence to ensure no miscarriage of justice.

The 10-year-old pupil allegedly ganged-raped by her classmates during World School Games held in Dubai between March 10-13, 2022 has been suspended by her school.

It was gathered that while at the competition, the girl was raped, videotaped and the video was posted on Instagram a month ago.
