Oba Lamidi Adeyemi’s Demise Leaves Huge Vacuum in Yorubaland – Gov. Abiodun

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun says the death of Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi will create a huge vacuum in the entire Yorubaland.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Kunle Somorin, Governor Abiodun described the late monarch as a quintessential traditional ruler and custodian of Yoruba culture and tradition.

The Governor said that posterity would remember Oba Adeyemi’s service and dedication to Yorubaland as well as his immense contributions to ensuring peace and unity in the country.

While describing Alafin’s death as a tragic and a great loss, Governor Abiodun noted that Alaafin’s royal counsel would be sorely missed, especially ahead of the 2023 general election.

Governor Abiodun prayed to God to grant the departed monarch eternal rest and reward him with Aljannah Firdaus.
