Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state says his government is committed to redefining good governance through developmental projects

He gave the assurance while speaking at the inauguration of mega bus terminals in Oojo and Challenge Ibadan as well as Omituntun mass transit pilot scheme.

Governor Makinde said the bus terminal and mass bus transit project would not only transform the state transport sector, create employment ,serve as a tourist attraction and boost economic activities.

Speaking at the event,the special guest and Governor of Edo state, Dr. Godwin Obaseki commended Governor Seyi Makinde for the innovation and explained that if people in authority expend funds for public interest projects, the purpose of governance would be thoroughly felt by the people.

Governor Obaseki equally implored Governor Makinde to ensure proper interconnectivity of the state transport infrastructure and build more terminals especially as state continued to experience population growth.

Earlier in a welcome address, the commissioner for works and public transportation, Professor Daud Sangodoyin recalled that the project for the 4 bus terminals at Iwo road, New Ife road, Ojoo and Challenge was estimated to cost over 16 billion naira for which 2 of the terminal have been delivered in line with International best standard.

The newly inaugurated bus terminals in Ibadan are fully equipped with modern day facilities.
