The Ogun State Government Says the introduction of its Health Insurance Scheme for the less privileged masses in the state is geared towards making health care accessible and affordable for all residents of the state. 

The Permanent Secretary of Ogun State Hospital Management Board, Doctor Qudus Yusuff during the familiarization visit of the Permanent Secretary to some health facilities in Ijebu-Ode area of the state.

Doctor Yussuf said the health insurance scheme was to discourage patronising quacks especially at the grassroots while funding of hospitals across the State has continued unabated by the present administration. 

The Permanent Secretary Promised that Government would continue to motivate medical practitioners and other health officers to make migration unattractive by making remuneration of health workers in the State to be equal with their counterparts working in Federal Government facilities.

In a remarks, the Chief Medical Director, State Hospital, Ijebu-Ode, Dr. Oluseye Adetola, appreciated the government for working assiduously to provide quality health services to the people.
