The essence of fasting during the month of Ramadan is to attain piety and ensure righteousness.
An Islamic Scholar, Dr Hadi Tiamiyu stated this in Ibadan during the Eid prayer organised by Muslim Students Society of Nigeria, MSSN, Oyo Area unit.
The Islamic Scholar reiterated the need for Muslims to sustain the lessons learnt during Ramadan.
He challenged Nigerian leaders to fear Allah and discharge their responsibilities in accordance with the dictates of Allah.
Dr Tiamiyu explained that Nigerians must avoid decisive utterances capable of derailing the peace of the country.
The Islamic scholar admonished Muslims to continue to pray for peace of the country.
Dr Tiamiyu enjoined Nigerians to work towards ensuring the success of the 2023 general elections.
In an interview, the Ameer, MSSN, Oyo Area unit, Mallam Abdul Kabir Alamal Yakeen urged Muslims to renew their commitment in Allah and avoid indulging in vices.
