A frontline monarch in Akoko southwest local government, the Olisupare of Supare Akoko, Oba Kasali Adejoro Adedeji has joined his ancestors.

Oba Adedeji who ascended the throne of his forefathers in 1994, died at the age of 77 years.

While confirming the demise of the Akoko monarch, one of his relations, Mr Sanusi Adelana described his reign as very progressive to the entire community as many sons and daughters of the town were very successful.

The olubaka of Oka who is also the chairman of Akoko northwest local government Oba Yusuf Adebori Adeleye described his exit as very painful because of his brilliant debates and contribtions at obas meetings both at local government and at the state level.

Oba Adeleye commiserated with the entire supare Akoko community on the death of their paramount ruler

Meanwhile a janazat service has been held for the late monarch.

During the service, the chief Imam of supare Akoko and the Secretary to ondo state league of Imams and Alfas Sheik Abdulrasheed Akerele described oba Adedeji as a practising muslim who was always regular at all Islamic programes.

He said Oba Adedeji was patron at many Islamic programmes and performed holy pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina.

In the meantime, the entire Supare community is mourning mood as they prepare for traditional rites for the late monarch.
