Ahead the governorship poll in Ekiti comes June the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, wants religious leaders to educate their followers on the imperative of collecting Permanent Voter Card, PVC.

The state Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, for INEC, Dr. Adeniran Tella gave the advice in Ado Ekiti during an interactive session with religious leaders and faith based groups.

Dr. Tella explained that were avenues to collect their Christian and Islamic leaders could use to convince adherent of the two faiths to collect PVC and vote for the candidate of their choice.

The Ekiti REC also urged religious leaders to use their strength to sensitize their members to be orderly during the election.

In their responses, the incoming state Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Reverend Emmanuel Aribasoye and leader of the Muslim Students Association, Amiru Nurudeen lbrahim assured the electoral body of more supports, especially in the areas of mobilization and prayers for smooth conduct of the election.
