Ekiti State Government has presented staff and instruments of office to the new Ologotun of Ogotun Ekiti, Oba Adebayo Adesanmi, and Alaye of Aaye Ekiti, Oba Ojo Amos Idowu.
The stool of Ologotun of Ogotun Ekiti was vacant in January this year after the demise of Oba Samuel Adedapo Oyebade while that of the Aaye of Ekiti in Ido/Osi Local Government was vacant in August 2021 when Oba Adegoke Ogunbiyi joined his ancestors.
Speaking during the official presentation of instruments of appointment and staff of office to the new Monarchs in Ado Ekiti, the State Deputy Governor, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi charged residents of Ogotun and Aaye Ekiti to cooperate with their traditional rulers to foster development in the two towns.
In their remarks, the new Ologotun of Ogotun Ekiti, Oba Adebayo Adesanmi, and Alaye of Aaye Ekiti, Oba Ojo Amos Idowu appreciated the residents and Ekiti State government for the opportunity given to them and promised to justify the confidence reposed in them.
