Governor Adegboyega Oyetola has signed a peaceful conduct-commitment document ahead of the Osun State gubernatorial poll slated for July this year.

Oyetola, who is the candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, appended the document during a meeting with the National Democratic Institute and “Vote don’t Fight Foundation” in Osogbo.

Governor Oyetola promised that his party would continue to address issues but not personalities in its campaigns.

Also speaking, the Director-General, Oyetola Campaign Council, Senator Ajibola Bashiru, who noted the APC was being provoked as its campaign billboards, posters and banners were being destroyed by suspected political thugs, assured that the party would continue to avoid inciting and abusive utterances and actions before, during and after the governorship election.

In a remark, Osun APC Chairman, Prince Gboyega Famodun noted the meeting was apt, expressing optimism that such meeting with other political parties in the gubernatorial race would yield good results.

In his words, an ace musician who doubles as” Vote don’t fight “Ambassador” Mr Innocent Idibia had commended Governor Oyetola for giving room for youth and women participation, emphasizing the need to sustain the practice.

Earlier, some members of the team, Mr Karkah Alex and Mrs Veronica Onija had noted that violence during the election would not only affect youths and women but also caused voter apathy.
