Some Governorship Candidates in the Osun State Governorship Election coming up next month have emphasized that Agriculture has the potential to turn around the economy of the State. 

They made this known in Osogbo at a Governorship debate organized by BBC Yoruba in conjunction with Radio Nigeria Gold fm, Rave fm and Osbc. 

Candidates of All Progressives Congress, APC, Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, Accord Party, Dr Akin Ogunbiyi, Labour  Party, Honourable Lasun Yusuf, Social Democratic Party, SDP, Architect Goke Omigbodun and People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Ademola Adeleke participated in the debate which was transmitted live on BBC and partnering stations.

They urged the Electorates not to mortgage their future by giving room to vote trading, which is against Electoral Law.

The Contestants emphasized the need for good Governance and fair treatment saying bad governance was the reason for agitation for Yoruba nation. 

They promised to see to workers’ welfare and better days for Retirees.

While responding to a question on the Osun state Security helicopter, Governor Oyetola hinted that it was in a bad state which required huge amount of money for repairs. 

Present at the event were The Zonal Director , FRCN, Ibadan National Station, Mrs Bolatito Joseph, Assistant Director Administration of the Corporation, Reverend Bayo Esho, General Manager, Goldfm , Mr Adedamola Tinubu, Assistant Director Marketing, Mrs Olukemi Oni, Manager News Goldfm, Mr Akintunji Akinleye and Media Professionals from various media Organizations.
