Dissatisfied with the dilapidated facilities in Orogun Grammar School, U I, Ibadan, which was founded in 1981, some alumni of the school have solicited government support towards rehabilitating structures in the school to create conducive learning environment.

National President of the Old Student Association who is also General Manager of Premier FM, Alhaji Aderemi Omotoso emphasised that the school required befitting modern structures for students and teachers.

Alhaji Omotoso, who expressed joy at the large turnout of the old students for the reunion said the association had sent letter to the state government for the school inspection and rehabilitation.

Alhaji Omotoso explained that main aim of the reunion was to rehabilitate the school as well as for old students to give back to the alma matter.

Earlier, the Principal of the school, Mrs  Ibironke Akangbe thanked the old students of the school, who contributed to the smooth running of the school.

Some of the old students promised to contribute their quota towards giving a face lift to the school in order to restore its old glory.

Highlights of the programme included tour of all school structures, which had been damaged by natural factors and invasion of hoodlums, cultural presentation by pupils and awards of excellence by 1988 old students to outstanding students in commercial, art and science classes.
