Ondo State Government has flagged off two million Cocoa and Shade tree seedlings to farmers in the state. 

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu while flagging off the distribution of Agricultural inputs for this year’s farming season to usher in harvest for all farmers in Ondo state said his administration will continue to partner and encourage investors to support farmers with inputs and facilities that would alleviate their suffering during this planting season.

Radio Nigeria reports that the governor who was represented by his Deputy explained that the exercise would expose farmers to the opportunities available to them on varieties of crops, livestock, planting materials and trainings on good agricultural practices

The Governor reiterated its commitment to rehabilitation of rural access roads and continue to create enabling environment for farmers in the state.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Commissioner for Agriculture and Forestry, Olayato Aribo applauded Governor Akeredolu for his agricultural programs geared towards protecting and equipping farmers.
