Voting has commenced in all the polling units in Ede South and North Local Government Areas of Osun State with the prompt arrival of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC officials and materials.
Security agents including Nigeria Police Force, NPF and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC were at the polling units to ensure orderliness and provide security for stakeholders to ensure a successful exercise.
The turnout of the voters in most of the polling units visited in Ede South and North was very impressive at the polling units with the majority comprising the aged, women and youths.
Those who have voted were seen discussing in groups while many anxious electorates are in queue to cast their vote.
The vulnerable and elderly were accorded respect as they were given a place to sit.
A person with disability, a blind man was assisted to cast his vote by the INEC official.
However, few food vendors were seen at the polling units to sell food to voters who might not have eaten before coming to the polling unit.
