The Third batch of Oyo State pilgrims that performed this year’s Hajj in Saudi- Arabia has arrived in Nigeria safely. 

The FLYNAS flight XY7126 which left King Abdul-Azeez International  Airport, Jeddah at 8. 18 am Saudi time arrived at Murtala Muhammad International Airport, Lagos around 11.20 am Nigerian time. 

The report says the State Pilgrims Welfare Board (Muslim’s Wing) has made arrangements to ensure that the 229 pilgrims in the third batch are conveyed from Lagos to Ibadan.

Those who were in the same flight of 401 passengers with the third batch were   162 pilgrims from Edo State,  10 from Lagos State and 21 officials of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON. 

The first batch of pilgrims from Oyo State landed on the 20th of this month, (20th July) the second batch arrived last Wednesday ( 27th July) and the last batch is expected in the country during the week.

Our Correspondent,  Ridwan Fasasi reports that 20,950 pilgrims have so far returned to Nigeria through 48 flights while over 10,000  are still awaiting departure in Saudi- Arabia.

According to Chairman, NAHCON, Alhaji Zikirullah  Hassan the pilgrims’ departure had been in line with their arrival into the holy land. while he gave an assurance that the exercise would have been completed before the August 13 deadline given by Saudi Arabia.
