There is a need for editors in the media industry to be professional while reviewing news productions for optimal performance and the benefit of the listener.

The Deputy Director News, Ibadan Zonal Station, Mr Samson Abiodun made this known while delivering the message of the Director General of FRCN, Dr Mansur Liman to News Department Staff at Abeokuta.

Mr Abiodun explained that it was necessary to engage in regular meetings to enable editors to keep abreast of programmes that needed coverage.

He also urged news editors to always discuss ahead of bulletin productions with their supervisor and colleagues for the interest of the station.

The Deputy Director of News commended the staff for their hard work, and perseverance and encouraged them to keep the flag of Radio Nigeria flying by uplifting the people and uniting the nation through disseminating accurate news to the people.

In a remark, the General Manager, Paramount FM Abeokuta, Mr Akinyinka Akintola and the Manager News, Mrs Oluremi Olugbenro appreciated the Deputy Director News for his support, and training and promised to put measures in place to ensure that stories are issue-based.
