Nigeria can still rise above the current economic challenge.

Pastor Sunday Oyewo expressed optimism at a sermon to mark the first year thanksgiving ceremony of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, held at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Mount Zion Cathedral Bolumole, Ring Road 

Pastor Oyewo encouraged the masses to continue praying with faith in God to rescue the nation from the scourge of hunger and insecurity affecting the country 

“God is your shepherd you can never suffer from hunger and will always do His best to save His sheep from all the evil”

Also speaking, Chairperson Nigeria Association of Women Journalist, Oyo State Chapter, Comrade Jadesola Ajibola expressed gratitude to God for sustaining the association in the last year despite the economic challenges.

Comrade Ajibola while speaking on this year’s theme: Repositioning Women for Leadership Responsibilities’, said was high time for women to take responsibility

” Is to look back at the last one year and giving God the grace to be able to come before Him despite the economic challenges also our women should take up responsibility as a woman, perform your responsibility as a wife and in your place of work, as a woman we all have responsibility.”

 The Oyo NAWOJ chairperson, however, urged the government to give more room for women to participate in governance.
