Oko town is to provide a hospitable environment for student doctors at Bowen University, Iwo who are on community medical services in the town.

Oranimiyan of Oko land , Oba Solomon Akinola made the pledge while receiving the group of students in his palace.

The traditional ruler who commended Bowen University for choosing Oko for the training exercise charged the final year medical doctors to feel at home,assuring them that the ancient time was very accommodating.

“Oko residents are hospitable and are ready to cooperate with the medical students during and after their stay in the community. All necessary support will be given to the team in the assignment.

Your presence in Oko town will also serve as a morale booster for youths in the community, “Oranimiyan said.

Speaking on the essence of the visit, the team leader Dr. Idowu Ajibola thanked the monarch and the Oloko in council for the warm welcome, maintaining that the final year medical students would conduct medical checks on the residents.

Dr. Ajibola expressed confidence that Bowen University and Oko community would enjoy a more cordial relationship and promised that the medical students would comport themselves during their stay.
