The country’s home-based Super Eagles have it all to do after they fell to a 2-0 defeat to the Black Galaxies of Ghana, in the first leg of the 2022 CHAN final qualifying round on Sunday.

The game was played at the Cape Coast stadium, Accra in Ghana.

After a goalless first half, it was the Black Galaxies who broke the deadlock in the 49th minute from the spot.

In the 85th minute, the Black Galaxies doubled their lead through Seidu to put them in a comfortable position.

Both teams will meet in the second leg billed for Saturday, September 3rd, inside the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja.

The home-based Eagles failed to qualify for the 2020 CHAN tournament after losing to Togo in the qualifiers.

While the Black Galaxies last featured at the 2014 Edition in South Africa where they lost to Libya in the final.

The winner over two legs between Ghana and Nigeria will qualify for next year’s CHAN in Algeria.
