Burial activities for Venerable Oyebanji Mobayoje Adewoye begin today with a commendation service at St. Peters Anglican Church, Apata, Ibadan at five o’clock in the evening.

According to a statement by the family, there will be a service of songs and testimony night in honour of the late Cleric at his residence in Olorunda Aba, Ibadan at four o’clock in the evening, while a Christian Wake holds on Thursday at St. Stephen Anglican Church, Alegongo, Akobo road, Ibadan at five o’clock in the evening.

The funeral service for Baba Adewoye will take place on Friday at the Cathedral of St. Davids, Kudeti, Ibadan at ten O’clock in the morning.

Venerable Oyebanji Mobayoje Adewoye, popularly known as “Baba Christ”, died on the first of August, this year at the age of 77.

The Clergyman is survived by his wife, Mrs Cecilia Adewoye, and children; Mrs Oluwafunke Faniran, who is the wife of Deputy Director News, Radio Nigeria, Ibadan, Mr Adewumi Faniran, Mr Oluwaseun Adewoye, Mrs Oluwagbemi Gabriel and Mr Oluwagbamila Adewoye and Grandchildren.
