The Olowu of Owu-Elect, Professor Saka Matẹmilọla wants professionals in the media industry to sustain the standard practice in the bid to generate revenue while meeting the information need of the populace.

Professor Matẹmilọla gave the advice when the management team of Radio Nigeria Paramount FM Abeokuta, led by the General Manager, Mr Akinyinka Akintola paid a visit to the Oke-Agọ Owu Compound where the king-elect was observing the seclusion ahead of his coronation. 

The Olowu of Owu-Elect, who spoke through the Akọgun Owu, Chief Iṣọla Akinṣipo, noted that all professionals in the media were prospective marketers and urged the employers in the industry to motivate the workers for enhanced productivity.

He maintained that prompt payment of sales commission remained an effective way to encourage better performance and emphasized the need for content providers to devote more time to planning ahead of their production, noting that anyone in search of success must be ready to lose sleep.

Professor Matẹmilọla acknowledged that Radio Nigeria had been making impacts on Ogun State, long before the establishment of its FM station, Paramount FM on the hills of Owu Dekudu (mimido) and applauded the station’s readiness to be actively involved in his coronation programme.

Earlier, the General Manager of Paramount FM, Mr Akintola had informed the Olowu of Owu-Elect and the council of kingmakers that the visit was aimed at paying homage and consolidating on the existing cordial relationship between Radio Nigeria and the people of Owu.
