National Coordinating Commandant General, Brigadier General David Shaljaba (rtd) has urged the corps of Nigerian Legion commissionaire to stand for what they were capable of doing without carrying Arms.
Brigadier General Shaljaba made this known in Ibadan, while addressing the corps of the commissionaire, Oyo State command.
The Commandant General explained that the corps needed to educate and train themselves on how to gather information on school crimes prevention, rescue mission, surveillance security and escort to relevant bodies.
He said they must let the public know how important they are in the areas of discharging their duties.
In an address of welcome, the Oyo State Corps Commandant, Adewole Orebiyi expressed gratitude for the great privilege to have the Brigadier General Shaljaba in Ibadan,the Oyo state capital.
Commandant Orebiyi said the corps were ready to carry out their duties at securing the lives of property of Nigerians.
