Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun State has launched its Presidential and National Assembly campaign in Abeokuta with three former state governors in attendance.
The supporters and members of the party in their thousands had defied the afternoon scorching sun to declare support for the PDP’s Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and other candidates presented by the party in the state.
Various Party leaders that spoke during the event called on Nigerians to play positive parts towards the development of the nation.
They also advised the citizens not to elect corrupt and greedy politicians in the coming 2023 general elections.
Former Governors in attendance at the presidential campaign flag-off include Mr. Boni Haruna of Adamawa State, Dr. Babangida Aliu of Niger State and Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau of Kano State.
The Ogun Central Senatorial candidates of PDP, Mr. Olumide Aderinokun and the Abeokuta South Federal Constituency candidate of the party, Mr. Toyin Amuzu while speaking at the rally assured the people of the area of quality representations when elected.
Some defectors from APC, ADC and APM while addressing the crowd at Ogun state PDP secretariat expressed their conviction that PDP has the solutions to challenges facing the country.
