Nigerians should continue to see beyond religious differences to foster peace and promote development.

Director, National Orientation Agency, NOA, Oyo State, Mr Kayode Odedokun stated this in Ibadan as Muslims mark Eid El- Maolud.

Mr Kayode Odedokun, who used the occasion to rejoice with the Muslims, also charged them not to allow religious sentiments to serve as a cog in the wheels of the nation’s progress, especially now that the 2023 elections are approaching.

The State Director said Nigerians irrespective of religious leaning, should see nation-building as a collective responsibility as poverty, squalor, insecurity, banditry and other ills bedevilling the Nation know no creed.

Mr Odedokun called on the Muslims to reflect on the teachings of the holy prophet and live every day by the Sunnah of tolerance and togetherness to move the country forward.

Mr Kayode Odedokun prayed that Almighty Allah (SWT) would continue to foster unity in the country.
