I need PDP President to deliver my agenda – Senator Adeleke

The Osun State Governor-Elect, Senator Ademola Adeleke wants members of the People Democratic Party, PDP, in the state to work together for the victory of the party in the 2023 general elections.

Inaugurating a 305-Member State Chapter, Campaign Council for Atiku Presidential Election in Osogbo, Senator Adeleke who is also the state Chairman of the Council explained that the call was to project a winning agenda for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa at the poll.

He implored the members to deploy massive resources towards delivering Osun State to the PDP during the forthcoming presidential, national and state house of assembly elections, pointing out that the landslide victory at the last governorship election would be incomplete unless the party record another victory at the federal level.

Senator Adeleke said when inaugurated next month in the state his administration would need the support of a PDP president to implement its people-oriented five-point agenda.

The governor-elect described Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as the most tested and trusted presidential candidate with a sterling record of performance that would take Nigeria to the promised land.

He appealed to the campaign council members in the state, local governments, wards and polling units to replicate the margin of the votes cast for the PDP at the last state gubernatorial poll during the presidential election.

In his remark, the state Director-General, Atiku-Okowa Presidential Campaign Management Committee, Mr Sunday Bisi, pledged that the members would ensure that the majority of the votes in the state were delivered to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in February 2023 presidential election to complement Senator Adeleke’s victory.

Earlier, the state PDP Caretaker Committee Chairman, Dr. Adekunle Akindele warned that the party would not hesitate to sanction any member who engaged in anti-party activities.

Dr. Akindele, therefore, enjoined all party members to begin to campaign in their communities for the victory of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in next year’s election.
