A knotty issue must be watched with careful looks ‘Oro sunnukun, oju sunnukun ni a fii wo o’.
Therefore, I hereby call and advise all decision makers, most especially the Basorun, the Baba Iyaji and the entire Oyo Mesi to speak with one voice on the ongoing tussle for the ancient stool of the Alaafin of Oyo.
This is the right time for the Baba Iyaji to meet the Basorun of Oyo as the reigning Regent to the Alaafin stool to affect a new gazette that will incorporate the nine aggrieved ruling families that have never ascended the Alaafin throne since inception.
You are the one to do it and not the government. This is to enable all the decision makers to start on a clean note, bearing it in mind that Oyo is a Pacesetter (Ajise bi Oyo laari, Oyo kii se bi enikan) and that they should not postpone till the evening what can be accomplished in the morning.
The right time to do that is now and not at any other time. When done, history and all the future generations will remember you all and write your names in gold for doing the right thing at the right time for the right people.
I also suggest that all the decision-makers should please foster unity among all the wrangling ruling houses most especially the Agunloye royal families and a few others.
A stitch in time saves nine.
