The Accord Governorship Candidate in Oyo State, Chief Adebayo Adelabu has urged supporters and people in the state not to be distracted by the recent attack on his convoy.
In a statement by the Adebayo Adelabu Campaign office expressed dismay at the ugly trend of event, saying the Accord flag bearer remained unshaking in his bid to clinch victory in the 2023 Governorship poll.
It explained that the arrested hoodlums who claimed membership of the All Progressives Congress acted against the security structure guiding the electioneering process and expressed surprise that thuggery, violence and brigandage which the late former Governor Abiola Ajimobi of the APC had eradicated during his eight years of peaceful administration was gradually rearing its ugly head.
According to the Campaign organisation, political parties and candidates with propaganda should be disregarded and that it was now impossible for candidates without pedigree to ride on the back of any presidential candidate to win election in the State.
It would be recalled that an attack by hoodlums on the Accord Governorship candidate, Chief Adebayo Adelabu in Tede area of Oke Ogun was reported last Thursday with the destruction of several vehicles in his entourage, while the candidate was said to have escaped injury by whiskers.
