Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has inaugurated the 4 – kilometre Oba Erinwole road in Sagamu with a promise that the gesture would be extended to all local government areas in the state.
Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Abiodun described the construction and inauguration of the road as part of his administration’s efforts to improve the living standard of the people and open up the city to more investments.
While giving the assurance that his government would sustain the efforts till more roads in the state were passable, Governor Abiodun called on the people of Sagamu to take ownership of the new road project.
The Governor also gave the assurance that his administration would collaborate with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, to reconstruct the dilapidated hospital road at Ogijo area.
In a remark, the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Ajayi who acknowledged that the newly constructed road had brought relief to the people urged the present administration to sustain the spread of developmental projects across the state.
