Bayelsa and Edo States are leaving no stone unturned as both states push forward on the medals table at the ongoing National Sports Festival, NSF 2022, in Asaba, Delta State.

Ogun and Oyo States have been consistent with second and third position on the medal table from Day 1 till Day 5 only for Bayelsa and Edo States to turn around the table on Day six and move to second and third on the log.

Impressive displays in aquatic sports, wrestling and weightlifting have seen a turnaround in the fortunes of perennial achievers at the National Sports Festival.

Presently, Delta State remains untouchable as they are still occupying the 1st position on the log while Bayelsa is 2nd and Edo is in the 3rd spot, with Ogun and Oyo States are presently in 4th and 5th positions respectively.

Katsina, Jigawa, Ekiti, Taraba, Sokoto, Cross River and Borno States are yet to pick a gold medal in the ongoing National Sports Festival.

The National Sports Festival 2022 is living up to its billing and boys are being separated from the men on the medal table.
