The immediate past Commissioner of Works and Transport in Osun, Engineer Remi Omowaye campaign office in llesa was reportedly attacked by Some Miscreants in the earlier hours of Sunday.

Addressing journalists shortly after the on-the-spot inspection of the scene, the former Commissioner who described the attack as inhumane, said, it was unfortunate such an ugly incident had happened twice on his person and property within two weeks.

Reports have it that, there were signs of gunshots at different places within the office premises, as the main door, glass windows, billboards and flags of the All Progressives Congress, APC, among other items were highly damaged.

Mr Omowaye decried the constant attacks on members of the APC since the inception of the PDP-led government in the state.

Similarly, another set of thugs, allegedly led by one Sunday Amure a.k.a Irawo, also attacked the Chief of Staff to Osun State Speaker, Mr Timothy Owoeye, Mr Sunkanmi Obisesan.

Mr Obisesan was attacked at Ifofin, in Ilesa, this afternoon and has been rushed to Wesley Hospital, Ilesa, following the injury he sustained from the attack.

In his response to the Incidents, a Chieftain of People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in ilesa, Mr Sunday Bisi debunked the allegations that the thugs were from the PDP. 

Mr Bisi explained the PDP as the ruling Party in the State would not engage in any nefarious act that would truncate the peace of the State and added that, the PDP does not harbour the act of thuggery.
