The atmosphere could be likened to that of a festive season as residents of Ibadan storm the market and shopping malls on Friday,24th February, the eve of the presidential and national assembly election, to purchase food and other items before the election.
Radio Nigeria Correspondent observed that the markets which had been witnessing low patronage lately due to cash crunch was a beehive of activities as many people trooped to market to buy food items in particular.
It was also observed that some traders were accepting online transfer of cash though many insisted on cash.
This however put to rest the rumour making the rounds that online transactions would be shut down from the eve of the election.
