Ondo State Governor, Mr Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on Saturday cast his vote in ward 5, unit 6, ljebu Owo, his home town.

The Governor arrived his polling unit at exactly 10:47am amidst cheers from voters at the unit.

After the initial technical hiccups of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System, BVAS, which lasted for about eight minutes, Governor Akeredolu was accredited at exactly 10:55am and immediately cast his vote.

Speaking with journalists shortly after exercising his franchise, the Governor said he was not too impressed with the turn out of voters.

He however expressed hope that, more voters will come out before voting ends.

Similarly, Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has cast his vote at
Ita Osanyin ward 3, polling unit 2, in Iperu Remo, Ikenne local government area of the state.

The Governor arrived his polling unit at 11.16am and cast his vote at 11.28 am.

Speaking with newsmen after voting,
Governor Abiodun said the turn out of voters was impressive and commended Nigerians for discharging their civic responsibility.

While pointing out that, the election is peaceful, Governor Abiodun commended Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for taking necessary steps towards ensuring successful conduct of the election.

Also, The Presidential Candidate of Action Alliance Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore cast his vote at RCM Primary School, Unit 5 ward 2 Apoi, Kiribo in Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
