Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke says his administration is set to open up the field of global opportunities to youth under the Imole Digital Agenda and resolve citizens’ challenges through technology applications.
Governor Adeleke stated this at the unveiling of State Digital Economy Policies and Flag-off of Osun State Broadband Fiber Optic Project in Osogbo, Osun State.
The Governor who noted that no nation can develop without technological innovations, said his government would grow the state economy, provide gainful employment for the youth and transform Osun state into a technology hub for the South West region.
Earlier, Coordinating Director, Ministry of Innovation Science and Technology, Mr. Jimoh Adekilekun had commended the Governor for making Osun to be the first State to domesticate the Nigerian StartUps Act.
Highlights of the event include presentation of Osun Google Mapping Report to Governor, Unveiling of the Osun State ICT and Digital Economy Policy, Unveiling of the state STI policy and flag off of the Fibre Optic Laying/Broadband connection.
