Ogun State  Council of Nigeria labour Congress has held its 2023 State Delegates’ Conference which ushered in Comrade Ahmed Ademola as the new Chairman of the Council.

Comrade Ademola who is the State Chairman of Nigeria Union of Agriculture and Allied Employees emerged unopposed alongside Comrade Abiodun Akinsola of Nigeria Union of Teachers as Treasurer.

Others include Vice president,Comrade Midian Nanle and Auditor, Comrade Solomon Sodipo.

Declaring the congress open, Ogun State  Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun represented by the Head of Service, Mr Nafiu Aigoro applauded the organised labour for their cooperation so far to the present administration in the State and for conducting themselves in a peaceful manner.

Mr Aigoro appealed to the new executives to consolidate on the prospect of the outgoing executives and solidify robust relationship being experienced in the State.

Earlier, the outgone Chairman of the Council, Mr Emmanuel Bankole enjoined the New Executives to perform their responsibility with all sense of humility and in good faith, for the betterment of workers.

He however called on the state government to  redouble efforts at prioritizing welfare of Ogun Workers.

In his acceptance speech, Comrade Ademola, promised  to operate an open door policy.
