The Nigeria Labour Congress, Ondo State Council has inaugurated new executives to steer the affairs of the union for the next four years, as Comrade Victor Amoko emerged the Chairman of the congress.

Also, Ondo State NUJ Chairman, Prince Leke Adegbite emerged the State Assistant Secretary of the NLC unopposed.

While declaring the 13th Quadrennial Conference open in Akure, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, who was represented by his Special Adviser on Union matters & Special Duties, Mr Dare Aragbaiye, charged the new executive to always break new grounds, noting that his administration’s doors are always open to suggestions that will better the lots of the workers. 

In his goodwill message, the Ondo State Head of Service, Pastor Kayode Ogundele congratulated the labour family for the peaceful conference and how God has been helping them. 

In a remark, Minister of Labour and productivity, Dr Chris Ngige who spoke through the acting Ondo State Controller, Federal ministry of labour, Mrs Olanike Mogboruko, charged the new Ondo NLC executives not to relent in improving welfare of members.

In his acceptance speech, the new chairman of Ondo NLC, Comrade Victor Amoko, who doubles as the State Chairman of the NUT, said that to every end, there is a new beginning, adding that he wholeheartedly accept the onerous task and trust reposed in him to lead NLC for next 4 years.

Other members of the NLC State Administrative Council, SAC, are; Vice chairperson, Comrade Obayoriade Adebayo;  another Vice chairperson, Akinyemi Olatubosun;  Treasurer, Afolabi Oluwafemi Olusola; Secretary, Akin Sunday;  Assistant Secretary, Leke Adegbite; Internal Auditor, Kayode Olorunfemi; another Internal Auditor, Abiola Oyewole; Ex officio, Mrs Olufunke Ayelakin as well as Ex officio, Mrs Oyindamola Akinlose.
