Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has cast his vote in the governorship and House of Assembly election at Ward 11, Polling Unit One, Abayomi area in Ibadan North East LGA.
The governor, who arrived at the voting centre at exactly 10:32, received to rousing welcome from members of the public.
Similarly, All Progressives Congress, APC Governorship candidate, Senator Teslim Folarin cast his vote at Polling Unit 2, Ward 5, St John’s Anglican Primary school, Idi-Ose, in Ona Ara Local Government.
Senator Folarin arrived at the polling unit a few minutes before ten o’clock this morning and he was given the privilege to bypass the queue to cast his votes.
In an interview shortly after casting his votes, The APC Governorship candidate expressed satisfaction with the exercise so far, though he was quick to add that the mayhem recorded in some parts of Ibadan during the week might scare some electorates from going out and exercising their franchise.
Senator Folarin commended the security personnel on the ground, while also charging them not to relent by ensuring peace and orderliness throughout the exercise.
