Reactions have trailed the appeal Court judgement which upheld the victory of senator Ademola Adeleke as the winner of July 16th governorship election held in Osun state.

The appellate court on Friday set aside a lower court judgement which had removed Adeleke as the governor.

Reacting to the judgement, a former member of Osun State House of Assembly, Mr. George Alabi described the judgement of the appeal court as victory for democracy in Osun State and Nigeria.

In their separate reactions, Alhaji Musbau Alawe and Prince Adenrele Olayanju noted that Osun residents and PDP members in Osun State did not expect anything less from the Court of Appeal, describing the earlier judgement by the election tribunal sitting in Osun State as a miscarriage of justice.

A legal practitioner in Ejigbo local government, Mr. Niran Ojekale who condemned the judgement maintained that the Court of Appeal had erred by not following due process.

Recall that the Court of Appeal earlier reserved judgement on the appeal filed by Senator Ademola Adeleke calling for the nullification of his candidacy as the winner of July 17th, 2022 held in Osun State.
