Ogun State government has announced plans to set up a committee that will be saddled with the responsibility of giving the departed Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant-General Oladipo Diya a befitting state burial.

Governor Dapo Abiodun who made this known in Ikeja, when he paid a condolence visit to the family of the late military administrator, said the committee would be made up of his cabinet members and representatives of the deceased’s family.

The governor said Lt General Diya lived an impactful and purposeful life, pointing out that the departed leader would be sorely missed by the people. 

Governor Abiodun eulogized the departed military administrator as an illustrious son of Ogun State whose contributions to the development of the state could not be overemphasized.

Responding, the eldest son of the deceased, Prince Oyedamola Diya appreciated the governor for the visit, and the kindness extended to the family.
