The remains of the late Founder and General Overseer of Pentecostal Witness Mission International, Quarry Road Abeokuta, Bishop David Folorunsho Akokunrin has been laid to rest with a call on Christians to be prepared for death as man’s inevitable end.
Delivering the sermon at a funeral service held at the Church, Pastor Joseph Ayeni of End Time Overcomers’ Gospel Church, Lagos, urged the people to be upright and dutiful in all their dealings in life.
He maintained that the late Bishop Akokunrin had laid a formidable foundation for the church with emphasis on preaching the true word of God.
In the tributes rendered by clerics, neighbors and associates of the deceased, the late Bishop Akokunrin was described as a hardworking person who detested lies during his lifetime.
One of the sons of the deceased and member of staff of Radio Nigeria Paramount FM Abeokuta, Mr Jude David, said his dad would remembered as a loving father who served God and humanity selflessly until his death.
Bishop David Folorunsho Akokunrin died at the age of seventy four.
