The Agodi Gate motor park in Ibadan witnessed a few passengers traveling back to their respective destinations after observing the public holiday declared by Federal Government to celebrate Eid-El-Fitri.

Speaking with Radio Nigeria, an Official of the Park Management system

Agodi unit, who craved anonymity said people coming out from the recent cash crunch might be the cause for residents deciding to spend the holiday in their homes.

Some of the passengers who commended the federal government for declaring the public holiday expressed disappointment that the transportation was slightly increased.

At the Apata interstate motor park, a few passengers were also seen boarding vehicles to their respective bases.

Some of the passengers who spoke with Radio Nigeria correspondent said they were going early to their base to prepare for the resumption of work tomorrow.

An official of the park, Mr Tunde Fashola said the management of the park always keeps the fares the same in spite of the increase in petroleum products. 

Mr Fashola however urged the government to rehabilitate the Ibadan/Abeokuta expressway for a safer journey.
