The Oyo State House of Assembly has passed the Oyo State College of Agriculture And Technology, OYSCATECH, Bill 2021.

The passage of the Bill was sequel to the presentation and consideration of the report of the House Joint Committee on Education and Agriculture and Rural Development.

The report was read by the Chairman House Committee on Agriculture, Honourable Peter Ojedokun.

The Bill is to provide for the establishment, incorporation, constitution and functions of the Oyo State College of Agriculture And Technology, Igboora following its upgrade to a Polytechnic. 

The College was upgraded to a Polytechnic in 2016, and can award National Diploma Certificate and Higher National Certificate.

The Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Mr Adebo Ogundoyin said the bill was aimed at giving approval to the edit governing the institution.

He commended the Joint House Committees on Education and Agriculture And Rural Development for a job well done.

In a quick remark, the Rector of the College, Prof Akinola Akinlabi expressed happiness at the passage of the Bill.

He commended the Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde for the Bill.

The Rector also lauded the Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Mr Adebo Ogundoyin for his support and relentless efforts which he said led to the passage of the Bill.
