Ogun State Commander of Amotekun Corps, David Akinremi is dead.
Mr Akinremi who was appointed as the Commander of the newly established Amotekun Corps in 2021 died on Monday.
In a condolence message, Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun described the death of Mr Akinremi as a great loss to the security architecture of the state.
The governor expressed sadness over the untimely death of the commander and described the deceased as a gallant officer who contributed immensely in promoting peace and security across the state.
He also noted that proactive efforts of the Amotekun Corps under the leadership of the late commander had curbed crimes and criminalities in the state.
While commiserating with the family of the deceased and men and officers of Amotekun Corps, Governor Abiodun said his administration would miss his immeasurable contribution to the state.
