Death is an inevitable end; hence it is important for people to always live with caution on daily basis.
A cleric, Alhaji Abdufatai Adeshina stated this at the burial ceremony of a retired Deputy Director Training, Radio Nigeria Training School, now National Broadcasting Academy, Shogunle, Lagos, Alhaji Salim Abioye, held at Muslim Cemetery Apete, Ibadan.
Alhaji Adeshina explained that in the light of the temporary nature of existence, people should live to please God and shun unbridled lure of mundane things.
Daughter Of the deceased, Mrs Alima Orunsolu, described Alhaji Salim Abioye as a loving, religious and disciplined father.
Similarly, former GM, Premier FM, Alhaji Bashiru Omosho and Chairman, Pensioners Association, FRCN Ibadan, Mr Sola Ogunmola said the legacy of deceased would continue to linger.
Alhaji Abioye joined Radio Nigeria Ibadan in the 1960s and worked as correspondent in Ijebu Ode after which he was transferred to Lagos FRCN Ikoyi, in the 1980s as a member of the National Network news.
Late Abioye was also at the State House, Dodan Baracks and covered I984 Hajj for FRCN.
He is survived by a wife and five children, among whom is Mrs Orunsolu Halima Abioye, a staff of Radio Nigeria Ibadan.
